Professor Zhang Chaozhi is currently a Distinguished Professor at Fudan University, Executive Director of the Department of Tourism at Fudan University, and Director of the Center for Heritage Revitalization and Sustainable Tourism Development at Fudan University. His main research interests include tourism destination management, sustainable tourism development, and heritage tourism research.
Professor Zhang has long been dedicated to advancing talent cultivation and theoretical research in the field of sustainability. He serves as an expert committee member for several international organizations—including the World Economic Forum and UNESCO—as well as for national ministries and commissions. Furthermore, he has been exploring practical pathways for heritage education and sustainable community livelihoods in areas such as the Giant Panda National Park and the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon in Tibet.
