Dean and Professor of the School of Tourism Sciences, Beijing International Studies University
In my role as Professor and Dean of the School of Tourism Sciences, Beijing International Studies University, my research centers on tourism economics and policy, red tourism, leisure economy, and inbound tourism. I also serve as Vice President and Secretary-General of the Beijing Tourism Society, Vice Chair of the Tourism Education Branch and Executive Vice Chair of the Red Tourism Branch of the China Tourism Association, and doctoral supervisor in tourism management in Uzbekistan. Over the past years, my research has involved two subprojects of National Social Science Fund major projects and over 40 provincial/ministerial and commissioned projects, with three national tourism and leisure standards chaired. Publications include monographs, edited reports, and dozens of CSSCI/SCI papers; multiple advisory reports have been adopted by provincial/ministerial authorities. My work has helped launch digital cultural tourism and inbound tourism micro-programs, the China-Russia Tourism Education University Alliance, the China-Arab Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Research Center, and a UN Tourism collaborative master’s program. My commitment is to international tourism talent development, discipline building, and people-to-people exchanges.
