Ludivine Destrée is a tourism marketing professional with over a decade of experience connecting Europe and Asia through travel, tourism and cross-cultural engagement. Her journey with China began in 2008, sparked by a fascination with Chinese language and culture. This led her to study Chinese and English translation in Brussels, followed by experiences in Tianjin and at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. After completing her master’s degree, she further deepened her understanding of China and international affairs at Beijing Foreign Studies University. Ludivine went on to spend six years with the Wallonia Tourism Board in China, ultimately serving as its Greater China Representative and leading the destination’s tourism promotion in the Chinese market. She later worked with the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. Since 2022, she has been part of the European Travel Commission (ETC) in Brussels, where she currently serves as Senior Marketing Manager. She develops and leads marketing initiatives across Asia-Pacific markets, combining her extensive experience in China with expertise in tourism marketing and cross-cultural communication to strengthen Europe’s positioning as a travel destination.
