Ms. Kuok is the Chairman and Group CEO of Shangri-La Group. As a pioneer of Asian hospitality, Shangri-La Group is a developer, owner and operator of hotels, serviced apartments, residences, offices and commercial properties. Its hotel management arm operates over 100 hotels globally.   Ms. Kuok has been a member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference since January 2023 and a member of the Election Committee of The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region since December 2016. Between 2008 and 2022, she was a member of the Beijing Municipal Committee of The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Ms. Kuok was appointed as a Justice of Peace by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2025. Ms. Kuok is also on the Board of Directors of China World Trade Center Company Limited, Kerry Group Limited, Kerry Holdings Limited, and the Hong Kong Palace Museum, amongst other roles in government committees. She is also Governor of the Kerry Group Kuok Foundation, a charitable organization established in 2007 created to alleviate poverty across Mainland China and Hong Kong in four key service areas: Health, Education, Family and Community Harmony, and Employment and Empowerment.   Ms. Kuok holds a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
